Everything You Need to Know About the Toyota Yaris


Toyota Yaris is a subcompact cars offered by the Japanese automobile major since 1999. The name “Yaris” is derived from “Charis,” the singular form of Charites, the Greek goddesses of charm and beauty. The Japanese automaker is now offering the third generation of this vehicle, including a sedan named Yaris R or Yaris iA, which was previously sold as Scion iA.
The first generation models of the Yaris were marketed between 1999 and 2005, and called the "Yaris" or the "Echo," depending on the market. Hatchback, coupe, and sedan models were offered during this tenure. Toyota offered the second generation models of this series from 2005 to 2011, under the hatchback and sedan body styles. The hatchback version was discontinued in early 2014 for the Asian markets.

Features of the New Yaris Hatchback    

·         The new Yaris features a Euro-inspired exterior and 16-inches machined alloy wheels.
·         Equipped with a leather trimmed steering wheel that also houses the audio controls and a gear shift, the vehicles has a sporty look.
·         This model comes with the standard Bluetooth device, a USB port, an AM/FM CD player with HD radio technology.
·         Available in three-door and five-door models, the Toyota Yaris has adequate storage compartments along the front seats.
·         This vehicle is known for its high safety features, such as the lane departure alert, automatic high beams, and pre-collision braking.
·         The new model offers some exciting features, such as a standard 6.1-inch touch screen with dashboard controls for audio and climate control.
·         The Yaris comes with a Pressure Monitor System that alerts the driver when a tyre gets critically underinflated.
·         The hatchbacks in the series come with a 106-horsepower, inline-4 mated to ether 5-speed manual or automatic transmission systems.
·         The car is available in three door and five door models, with both models having LED headlights with fog lights, cruise control and power mirrors.

Features of the Yaris iA

The 2017 Yaris iA features a direct injection 1.5 litre inline four cylinder engine that makes 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices include a six speed automatic or manual system. The 2017 model retains Scion’s monospec strategy, with no optional packages offered. The vehicle is equipped with a rear view camera, push button start, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a forward collision prevention system.

Toyota Yaris models are useful and practical cars loaded with safety features. It also helps that it looks good!
